De VM-VP5 plaat is een V-mount plate voor de Sony FX6. De plaat is voorzien van een BPU-aansluitkabel waarmee deze rechtstreeks op de FX6 aangesloten kan worden. Met de gereguleerde 19,5V output wordt het mogelijk om de ingebouwde accu te hotswappen.

Het FX6-specifieke ontwerp met 180 graden draaibare mount maakt het mogelijk om de interne batterij te wisselen door de VM-VP5 omhoog te klappen. De V-mount plate is voorzien van maar liefst drie D-Tap uitgangen en een USB-C poort.
